June Meetup

E-mail Print PDF

Hello all,

I was recently emailed details of 2 great events for you to attend this month! 1st - On Thursday, June 21st The RTS, The Radission and ReConnect Rochester present ROC Transit Day. The volunteers at Reconnect Rochester invite you to be "CAR-FREE" with us for one day. We're aiming to get 1,000+ Rochesterians to use public transit on June 21. Anyone, anywhere can participate. Just leave your car at home and hop a bus with us! But this isn't just a boring old bus ride... there will be plenty of opportunity for fun, prizes, and beer!

2nd - The same day Green Drinks, the eco-themed networking events group, will be at Foodlink. The regional foodbank will be hosting the event at their new headquarters location on 1999 Mount Read Blvd. Tom Ferraro founded Foodlink 34 years ago and was among the first “food bankers” in the nation. I can personally say, Tom is a great leader, citizen and non-profit guru that I think EVERYONE can learn something from. Don't miss this great opportunity! Not sure of the starting time; its usually between 5-6 but ill find out and post it soon....click Green Drinks for all of their upcoming events.

Hope to see you all at one or BOTH of these events!

Cheers,

Peter

About Us

Our goal is to help lower the environmental impact of the homes and lives of those living in the greater Rochester area. To reach that goal we provide workshops in sustainability, promote local green events, provide a free local resource in sustainable information, and create connections to other green organizations throughout New York. We hope we will be the first stop on your journey to a deeper understanding of sustainability.
